Lexar JumpDrive M20 16GB Mobile USB 3.0 Flash Drive

Micron's Lexar JumpDrive M20 is our best decision since it gives a retractable small scale USB 2.0 and a standard USB 3.0 male connect all-to one, making it less demanding than at any other time to exchange documents between smaller scale USB good cell phones and PCs. It has a genuine limit of 14.8GB and has perused Speed as 106.0 MBps, Write Speed as 15.3 MBps. The Lexar JumpDrive M20 may not be conspicuous in appearance with its plain white packaging and blue plastic accents, however Micron compensates for this with accommodating highlights. A decent size inherent key ring counteracts misfortune, and its capacity to work with telephones, tablets and PCs is an immense in addition to. The JumpDrive M20 read records at 106.0 MBps and composed at 15.3 MBps, beating the various USB streak drives on this rundown. The JumpDrive M20 has the most conventional looking glimmer drive plan of the double connector drives I've explored. With a white, plastic body and blue slider and end-top, the JumpDrive M20 looks similar to a cigarette lighter, and measures 2.04 by 1 by 0.52 inches (HWD). Toward one side is a cord circle, so you can append the drive to a keychain. The situating will really make it significantly simpler to connect than either the Kingston Micro Duo or the Leef Bridge 3.0.

The drive comes preformatted to FAT32, so it will work with all PC working frameworks (Windows, Mac OSX, and so forth.), while the microUSB connector gives you a chance to associate with tablets and cell phones. While this will prove to be useful for a couple of Windows tablets we've seen without full-estimate USB installed, it's principally implied for Android gadgets. The drive should work with any gadget running Android 4.1 or higher that has USB On The Go (OTG) empowered. While most gadgets accompany a type of document supervisor, Lexar prescribes the ASTRO File Manager App (free by means of Google Play). The Lexar JumpDrive M20 Mobile 3.0 drive is accessible in three limits: 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB. The Lexar JumpDrive M20 Mobile USB 3.0 (32GB) is an awesome expansion to the determination of portable agreeable stockpiling arrangements available, particularly for those searching for zippy execution over USB 3.0.

The M20 Mobile is a slider, with a miniaturized scale USB jack toward one side and a full-measure USB Type-A jack on the other. There's a catch on one side that enables the clients to withdraw one of these jacks while pushing out the other. The catch can likewise be set to hold both inside the packaging, where they are genuinely all around secured. The closures aren't secured however, raising the potential for build up to get inside the jacks, particularly the USB-A one.

SanDisk Ultra Fit 128GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive

As capacity thickness increments by the day, we tend to profit by innovation from various perspectives. As we have seen of late, microSD cards are rapidly getting higher limit alternatives and with that Pico streak drives, similar to the SanDisk Ultra Fit we have here today have achieved 128GB in limit. The SanDisk Ultra Fit is industrial facility arranged with the FAT32 document framework, guaranteeing similarity amongst Windows and Macintosh PCs. The usable limit subsequent to organizing is 115GB.

SanDisk too has discharged a Pico streak drive fit for 130 MB/s exchanges. Incidentally, the SanDisk drive is additionally conveying the Fit moniker alongside coming in 16 to 128GB limits. Obviously, being a Pico drive, the Ultra Fit is no greater than a thumbnail and highlights USB 3.0 network. Similarity of the Ultra Fit stretches out to present day Windows working frameworks, Mac OS X 10.6+. Bundling for the Ultra Fit houses the drive behind a reasonable plastic. Limit is recorded at the upper right while execution is set underneath. The back of the sleeve notices guarantee data at the base left while to the upper right we have say of the included Rescue Pro programming.

With regards to Pico streak drive arrangements, it is very certain there is a major push to offer them for sale to the public. The two greatest NAND streak makers now have an answer available suitably conveying a similar name. It is additionally very obvious that capacity thickness with streak drives is one the ascent with SanDisk now propelling this 128GB arrangement. The fabricate nature of the Ultra Fit positively lives up to my desires for an item from SanDisk, and significantly more there is a touch of a tasteful interest with this drive also. The execution of the drive shockingly didn't make it the speediest Pico drive we have tried, as that respect still lives with the Strontium Nano. All things considered, the SanDisk Ultra Fit isn't moderate by any methods in our Windows testing we achieved 147 MB/s read while OS X delivered 137 MB/s read both over showcasing execution. By and large, the Ultra Fit is a strong drive with adequate execution that would be ideal for scratch pad or MacBook clients in the market for limit at 128GB. MSRP of the SanDisk Ultra Fit in the 128GB limit is set at $79.99, and the drive accompanies five-year guarantee.

The new iXpand Flash Drive from SanDisk

The new SanDisk iXpand Flash Drive is super compact, very speedy when working with a computer and adds up to 128GB of storage to your iPhone or iPad. Its mobile app can back up data from your mobile device effectively and play back content well. Unlike many Android phones and tablets, iPhones and iPads don't have expandable storage. You're stuck with the 16, 64, 128 or 256GB that are built in to the Apple device you buy. Unless you get an iXpand Flash Drive, that is. The new iXpand Flash Drive is the smaller and faster version of the clever iPhone/iPad accessory that came out in late 2014. It's a thumbdrive that works with either a regular USB port on a computer, or a lighting port on an Apple mobile device. When connected to an iPhone or an iPad, you can use a free app, called iXpand Drive, to playback content stored on the drive -- a wide variety of video, audio and document files -- or back up the phone's photos and contacts. As a thumbdrive, the iXpand performed well in my testing with the sustained copy speed, via USB 3.0, of around 50MB/s for writing and around 90MB/s for reading, a huge improvement from just 11MB/s and 13MB/s, respectively, with the previous version. Thanks to its smaller design, the new iXpand Flash drive can also clip to an iPad without getting in the way too much. And in testing, the iXpand Drive app worked well for both data backup and media playback. But the improvement ends there; the new iXpand still has a few flaws. First, it doesn't have its own battery (the old version does), and in my trial, while backing up my photos on the drive, my iPhone 6S' battery drained much faster -- about 1 percent of battery life every 4 minutes. Also, anyone with a trove of ill-gotten videos should be forewarned: the iXpand Drive mobile app doesn't support some popular sound encodings, such as DTS or AC3. This means many "ripped" video files will play without sound. On top of that, the new iXpand drive retains a major drawback found in the previous version. It needs to be formatted in the archaic FAT32 file system to work with the mobile app. (You can format it in other file systems, such as NTFS or exFAT, but then it can only work as a regular thumbdrive.) FAT32 can hold single files of just 4GB or less. Since most feature-length HD movies require more than 4GB to store in a digital format, there are many movies you can't bring with you using the iXpand.

Apple iMac

The 2017 iMac is a fine update to Apple’s desktop computing platform, but suffers from a few nagging design quirks, as well as its own place amid rapidly-evolving desktop design trends. Still, for Mac fans in need of an upgrade, the 21.5-inch model presents surprisingly impressive value. With upgraded internals and a 4K screen employing an impressive color gamut, not to mention high-quality, comfortable input devices, the 2017 iMac is well worth your consideration if shopping for an all-in-one computer. The good news is that this time round both the 21-inch iMac and the 27-inch iMac have received a processor boost to the newer Intel Kaby Lake range. So no more lagging behind for the 21-inch model.
On to the display. When it updated the iMac , Apple added a 4K Retina display to the 21-inch range. This time round there are two 4K Retina iMacs: a 3GHz quad-core model and a 3.4GHz quad-core model. All the new 21-inch and 27-inch iMacs feature new Intel Kaby Lake processors. The 21in iMac models get Kaby Lake processors running at up to 3.6GHz (which is a build-to-order option). The iMac has stood up pretty well over the years and continues that trend. True, it's no longer a system that you can really get excited about as cutting edge,As we can see, the 3.4GHz Kaby Lake processor in 2017's 3.4GHz 21.5in iMac sees scores of 14,106 and 4,894, while the 2015 21.5in model with 3.1GHz processor scored 12,192 and 4,174. While the newer processor has a faster clock speed, so that will account for some of the difference, it is still a fair leap in power. Intel’s graphics (which are integrated on to the CPU) use the computer’s RAM, while dedicated (or discreet graphics cards have their own memory.  The performance is much improved. Plus it's got two USB-C/Thunderbolt connectors which can drive more external displays and faster file data transfers.

Dell Precision 5720

The Dell Precision 5720 is, by and large, a rebranded version of the company’s own XPS 27. Dell's previous all-in-one workstations were mostly limited to Optiplex models, which have the more staid looks you'd expect from a machine destined for reception areas or rows of cubicles. The major differences lie on the inside. Unlike the XPS 27, the Precision 5720 is Independent Software Vendor (ISV) certified to work with pro-grade content and design applications from the likes of Adobe and Autodesk, to name a few. It has all of the supporting hardware, including AMD Radeon Pro WX-series workstation graphics, Intel Xeon server-class processors, and ECC memory. Very few AIOs on the market can claim to offer that kind of hardware. Additionally, as a Precision-branded unit, you get access to Dell’s business service and support, versus the premium (albeit consumer-grade) support on the XPS unit. The desktop was pre-installed with Windows 10 Pro 64 bit operating system. However this was a Non-touch LCD, Dell Workstation AIO with fixed stand.

There are a dizzying array of drive options on the Precision 5720, offering plenty of combinations for those who need speed, space, or both. They include 500GB or 1TB hard disks, a 1TB hybrid drive, and several SSD-only options that range from 256GB to 1TB and connect either via SATA or M.2 PCIe. You can configure your Precision 5720 with up to 64GB of memory, with or without ECC, and there are four DIMM slots to hold it. My review unit comes with 32GB of memory, a 512GB SSD, and two 1TB hard disk drives in a RAID 0 array. That configuration results in snappy startup and app loading, since all of the system files are located on the SSD. Dell includes a standard one-year warranty with the Precision 5720, but since this is a business-oriented machine, the company also offers its ProSupport Plus, which includes repairs for accidental damage and hard drive recovery services, as an option.

HP Phone Wise requires a compatible iOS or Android device to function.

The major USP of this device is the upgradeable PC base. The base allows for a tool-less access to swap an even more powerful base or change the display. Speaking of displays, the AiO offers three display options — a 23.8-inch FHD display in both touch and non-touch variants, a 27-inch non-touch 4K display and a 34-inch ultra-wide curved non-touch display. Aspire S24

Aspire S24 launching the new Predator series and Chromebook 15, the company also revealed its all-new 23.8-inch Aspire S24 all-in-one desktop PC Acer has announced the availability of the Aspire S24, its slimmest all-in-one with the latest 8th generation Intel processors and optional Intel Optane memory. It can also be configured with optional Intel Optane memory for even better storage performance. It comes preloaded with Windows 10 and also sports a wireless charging base for Qi-enabled devices.
we need more than a strict diet and a workout regimen to be this thin. Acer has worked its magic on the Aspire S24 all-in-one, sending it off to fat camp and not coming to collect until it achieved a barely-there 5.97mm side profile. A 90% screen to body ratio means your eyes will be instantly drawn to one of the most beautiful desktops we've ever seen. As much as you would like to just stare at it, though, it's still a desktop - not a piece of modern art.

LG LFXC24796D

The LG LFXC24796D is a great-looking, high-end fridge that offers consistent performance and a good mix of features.  Another day, another "Door-in-Door" refrigerator from LG. With Door-in-Door, you can push a button on the handle of the fridge to open the front panel of the right door -- this lets you grab the butter or a bottle of beer out of the in-door shelves without opening the refrigerator itself. Now, the Door-in-Door compartment in LG's latest refrigerators comes with an "InstaView" window. Give it a double knock, and the fridge's interior lights will come on, illuminating your groceries inside. That lets you browse for a snack or a beverage without opening anything at all. It's an interesting feature, but a niche convenience at best. Still, as niche conveniences go, InstaView is admittedly nifty, and it makes LG's Door-in-Door feature more visible than ever. That, more than anything else, is what LG is probably going for here. The Korean manufacturer has made Door-in-Door a keystone feature of its fridge lineup; it needs people to know about it, and to want it. InstaView isn't about seeing your groceries -- it's about seeing Door-in-Door.

All of which brings us to the LG LFXC24796D. It's a counter-depth French door model in an attractive black stainless steel finish, and the InstaView window is its marquee feature.  a nearly identical counter-depth Door-in-Door model without the InstaView window. That's a very steep premium for the trivial privilege of peeking at your groceries, and it makes the otherwise decent LFXC24796D a poor value. The rise of black stainless steel offered LG a fresh coat of paint for its high-end fridges. It's an aesthetic that makes everything feel more modern, and it looks great on the LFXC24796D. Size-wise, this counter-depth model offers 23.5 cubic feet of total storage space, 15.6 of which get allocated to the fridge compartment. It's a decent number for a counter-depth refrigerator like this one that's designed to fit flush with the front of your cabinets and counter tops. But keep in mind that counter-depth models offer less depth than their full-size siblings. Try to stuff an extra-large pizza box inside, and the doors won't close.

Videocon VPP60ZPS-FS

Videocon VPP60ZPS-FS Side-by-Side Refrigerator has 3 Star Star energy rating, Frost Free cooling technology, Side-by-Side type, 618 Liters capacity. It brings to you this Premium double door refrigerator.  It also has a built in LED display.   Low Energy Consumption Although the fridge comes with a large capacity and therefore requires a substantial energy proportion, it does not consume too much electricity. The compressor used in this refrigerator exudes a highly efficient operation. Because of this attribute, the compressor generates more output in terms with the input given to it. This is the reason why the overall energy consumption of the fridge is pretty low. Humidity Control Function The refrigerator also comes with a humidity control function which makes the device very suitable for fruits and vegetables. The humidity control function basically generates some amount of moisture in the fridge, which when added to the cool air, makes the inside of the fridge a pretty natural environment. The vegetables and fruits therefore do not stay dry and have an essence of freshness in them all the time. Six Sensors in the Device This refrigerator withholds six different sensors within its system for detecting the conditions and maintaining the temperature of the refrigerator in a proper manner.

The sensors are designed and placed such that each of them collects different data on different fronts which is ultimately taken together and processed by the fridge to come to a conclusion about the final temperature that should be maintained within the fridge. To achieve this phenomenon, these sensors work in tandem. Some of these are temperature sensors while some others are also proximity sensors. Large Capacity, Less Noise This refrigerator comes with a large capacity of about 618 litres. The space inside the device is enough for we can to store all the food and beverages that you want. The space for ice-making is also quite large and is therefore adequate. Furthermore, it doesn’t make much noise at all thus keeping its surroundings quite quiet and peaceful.

Samsung MU6300

Ultra HD certified true colour and clarity The Samsung MU6100 is an entry-level 4K LED TV with decent picture quality and good smart features. Its build is a bit plasticity and simplistic, but it performs particularly well with video games thanks to its low input lag which keeps it responsive. The Samsung MU6300 is a 4k Smart LED TV. Control all of your compatible devices and content with the One Remote Control. The Samsung MU6100 sounds about good for a TV. It won't have any issues reproducing dialogue, but a dedicated sound system or a soundbar will be a considerable upgrade that will greatly enhance immersion.

The V-shaped center stand is iconic of Samsung TVs, and looks very similar to the MU6300 from last year. If knocked, the TV does wobble quite a bit but is still quite stable. The back of the TV looks the same as the MU6300 and is all plastic. All of the inputs can be accessed from the side, which is great for those who place the TV near a wall. The controls are also relatively easy to access. The Samsung MU6300 TV has a better than good picture quality. Its excellent contrast ratio and amazing black uniformity help the TV to display dark scenes with a lot of detail, especially when set in a dark environment. The MU6100 can properly display almost any content, including HDR. It also has excellent low input lag, which will please all but the most competitive of gamers. When set in a brighter room, the MU6300 doesn't fare as well since it cannot really get bright enough to fight glare from bright lights or sunny windows. The interface is centered around the Smart Hub, which gives access to the rest of the TV's settings. This makes the TV easy to understand for first time users, yet for more advanced users there are also dedicated buttons on the remote to open settings directly.

SONY KD-43X7002E

4K TVs with HDR are becoming popular day by day. Sony’s take on this comes with their X700E series of TVs. The 43-inch variant priced under Rs. 70,000, is more affordable than a competing model from other brands. Sony has skipped the Android OS and placed it with their own. The TV still gets some smart features and access to some online media channels but it isn’t a full-fledged smart TV.  The aluminum finish on the slim bezel looks good but doesn’t make the TV look premium. The only thing that stands out is the silver plate placed right under the Sony branding. It has a white LED embedded in it that switches on with the TV. The U-shaped stand is definitely the highlight. Its compact size goes very well with the look of the TV. The stand also carries arrangements that can help you hide all the cable clutter from the ports. Speaking of which, most of the connectivity ports are placed on the left for easy access. You can reach them with minimum effort even when the TV is wall-mounted.

The remote is pretty standard. It’s thin and comes with small buttons. If you have big fingers you might find it a little annoying to use the directional keys. We found ourselves hitting the buttons around it. There are abundant options here. You get three HDMI ports which should be enough for most homes. One of the ports also supports ARC which is mentioned in the list of sources. For those who don’t know, ARC allows you to send audio from the TV to the home theater and vice-versa using that cable. This means you can enjoy all your TV shows with surround sound. There are no component ports, but composite is provided to connect older devices. There is even a headphone jack. The TV comes with three USB ports to play media content from a hard drive. USB keyboards are also supported but it doesn’t work well with the custom interface and apps. Wireless connectivity includes WiFi 802.11n. You can use WiFi direct to mirror your device’s screen or to stream media to the TV. Because of the older WiFi standard, streaming 4K videos might not work seamlessly on the TV.

Sony offers a whole bunch of picture and audio settings to play with. You can really dive deep and tweak things to your preference. There are three pre-set modes to choose from. You can even customize them individually if you want. Besides that, you get advanced settings that include a whole range of picture enhancements such as Motion Smooth, Reality creation and Gamma settings. The Sony 43X7002E wins you over with its accurate colour reproduction and amazing detail. The X-Reality Pro engine works well while upscaling full HD content. Black levels are good but the brightness seems a little low. You need to dim the lights in the room to get a balanced picture. HDR performance is where the TV will win you over. We already spoke about how good the TV is with colours. Turning on HDR takes it up a notch. Even the transition between different shades of same colour can be easily seen. However, HDR content at the moment is a little difficult to find. Web-based channels like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video do have some titles in HDR.

Asus R558UQ

Asus R558UQ is one of the few notebooks that are already running the latest 7th generation Intel Core processor. And at Rs48,990, it is not very expensive either. It succeeds the Asus R558UR notebook which ran Intel’s 6th gen processor and sported a price tag of Rs46,598. What makes the new notebook interesting, apart from the interesting price tag, is that it is available in more eye popping colours, has better configuration newer specs and is lighter than its predecessor.

The R558UQ is a big screen notebook which like most other similar notebooks has a bigger footprint and requires a bigger bag to carry it. It looks slim and weighs 2.3kg, which makes carrying it around easy. It is available in four colour options — matte golden, glossy dark brown, red and dark blue. The all plastic exterior helps keep the weight in check but also gives it the look and feel of a budget laptop, especially the glossy brown variant. Despite the slim profile, the side panel carries all relevant connectivity options. The optical drive, VGA port, and LAN are still in vogue in many workplaces. The there is the HDMI port so you can hook it up with a bigger display or a projector. It also offers one USB 3.0 port and one USB 3.1 Type-C connector for faster data transfer.

The keys look flat and small but allow for quick typing after a while. They are also responsive and don’t require extra pressure to be applied on them. There is ample space between the keys which means you can type for long hours without worrying about tapping the neighbouring keys by mistake. The big letdown, in the keyboard, is that the keys are not backlit, which means you can’t use it in the dark with ease as laptops with backlit keyboard. The compact size of the keyboard leaves ample space for hand rest and touch pad. The touch pad is responsive but feels a bit small. Asus R558UQ is the first crop of Windows 10 notebooks running on Intel’s 7th Gen (Kaby Lake) Core i5-7200U Processor clocking at 2.5GHz and paired with 4GB RAM. It uses a dedicated Nvidia GeForce 940MX (2GB) graphics card which is a bit old but powerful enough to handle modern games. It was able to play some of the most demanding games like the Crysis 3 or the Sniper Ghost Warrior 2 at lower resolution and special effect settings without any stutter. The notebook offers 1TB HDD storage which means you have ample space for your movies, HD movies and games. Powered by a 2 cell Li-ion battery, the laptop lasted four to five hours on modest use and about an hour of non-stop gaming session, which is quite impressive. We also liked the audio output. Powered by Sonic Master speakers, we didn’t have to fall back on headphones even once while watching a movie or gaming. The unit I tested was no doubt fluid across all the applications tested on it. The Windows 10-based laptop runs graphics-heavy games without any hiccups. It is not only powered by Intel's onboard HD graphics 620, but also comes with Nvidia GeForce 940MX GPU with 2GB of dedicated DDR3 RAM. The same GPU also powers the Core i7 model.

Battery has always been one of the deciding factors when it comes to laptops. In case of the Asus R558UQ, the battery performance is nothing groundbreaking. The 38Wh 2-cell li-ion polymer battery lasted for around 6-7 hours on average use during my testing. On heavy usage, which included few hours of video streaming, internet browsing and multitasking, the laptop ran for approximately 4 hours. Light users might be able to stretch the battery life to 9 hours or more.

Asus Chromebook Flip (C302CA-DHM4)

The Asus Chromebook Flip  is a really good-looking laptop. Its metal body construction looks effortlessly cool and it also feels solid, despite being perfectly petite in size and weight. This is a 6th-generation (Skylake) mobile processor with two cores and four threads, 4MB of cache, and a maximum burst clock speed of 2.2GHz. This won’t burn any barns, but it will get through mainstream tasks capably, as the performance tests below prove. A lower-end option is a Pentium 4405Y, and a higher-end option is Core M7-6Y75.

This is an adequate amount of memory for mainstream tasks, but if you pile on the browser tabs or stream extensively, you could hit a wall. A higher-end Chromebook Flip model offers 8GB of RAM, but obviously costs more.  This is a mainstream integrated graphics solution, not as powerful as Intel’s Iris integrated graphics, but it’ll get you through streaming video. Storage of 64GB eMMC with TPM. The eMMC flash storage is inexpensive, but not very fast. The 64GB amount is better than the 16GB or 32GB you might find on cheaper models. The Trusted Platform Module is a security feature that can encrypt sensitive information like login credentials. 12.5-inch FHD 1920x1080 touchscreen. This is where a lot of the money goes. After surviving a motley parade of low-end Chromebooks with grainy 1366x768 displays, we welcome the Full HD display on the Chromebook Flip. It has a 16:9 aspect ratio, a wide 178-degree viewing angle, and a high 300-nit maximum brightness. We actually measured 310 nits with our meter, but we also noticed that the screen darkens quickly: The middle setting seems dim, while the best settings are medium-high or high.  The Connectivity is 802.11ac WiFi ,Bluetooth 4.2,MicroSD slot (SD/SDHC/SDXC) Two USB-C ports: Specifically, they are USB 3.1 (Gen 1), with a data transfer rate of 5Gbps. Both ports—one on each side of the laptop—may be used for data or charging. I appreciate the versatility of their opposite locations. There are no USB-A ports, so prepare to commit to this new connectivity standard (and prepare to buy a USB-A dongle for legacy devices). When we talk about Chromebook performance, remember that Google updates Chromes OS every six weeks. We return our test units and are therefore unable to update and retest them, so newer models will always benefit from any recent improvements Google made to Chrome. The Chromebook Flip’s middle-of-the-road power plant performs well in most respects, at least on the mainstream benchmarks we run. It’s the topmost bar (though not always the top dog) in all of the following charts.  The Cr-XPRT test measures Chromebook performance in basic productivity tasks as well as more demanding activities, such as watching movies or playing games. The Chromebook Flip can’t compete with the high-end Google Chromebook Pixel and HP Chromebook 13, but it’s right in the upper-middle with the similarly equipped Samsung Chromebook Pro, which we tested in prototype.

LG gram 14

The LG gram 14  is the larger complement to this year's 13-inch gram, making up part of LG's line of ultraportable laptops. The LG Gram is very plain. Weighing barely more than 2 pounds, but packing a Core i7 processor and more storage than many similar machines, the gram 14 is fast, capable, and posted a 15-hour battery life in our testing. The screen reproduces an excellent 135 percent of the sRGB color gamut, easily overtaking the ultraportable average (96 percent), the MacBook (107 percent), the Swift 7 (105 percent) and the XPS 13 (94 percent).  LG has a fairly comprehensive suite of software on the Gram, though quite a bit of it is redundant. The gram 14 weighs just 2.09 pounds and measures 0.6 by 12.7 by 8.3 inches (HWD), very light and compact for a 14-inch notebook. The nano carbon-and-magnesium-alloy material used for the body is lighter than metal alternatives, but a bit nicer than plastic. The LG Gram is a super thin PC with a flat keyboard, dark screen and webcam that focuses on your chin.

Battery is impressive, with the gram 14 lasting 15 hours and 40 minutes on our rundown test. That's a several-hour improvement over the 13-inch gram (12:33) and better than the Rose Gold XPS 13 (10:42), Blade Stealth (9:20), and Spectre x360 13 (8:18). The screen is sharp and looks great, and it even manages more storage than most of the alternatives. The gram 14 supplies a full array of connectors, including a USB 3.0 port, a USB-C port, and an HDMI port on the left, with a micro SD slot, a headphone jack, and another USB 3.0 port on the right.

Acer Swift 1

The Acer Swift 1 is one of the cheapest laptop you can buy that looks a little like a MacBook. The Swift 1 is a simple but sleek laptop. Outfitted with a sturdy, full aluminum body, the Swift 1 is matte gray with black plastic accents, including the keyboard, fingerprint scanner, hinge, trim and rubber grip. A silver Acer logo can be found on the laptop's lid, while a black one lies on the bottom bezel. The word "Swift" is engraved on the hinge. The Swift 1 also has all the main connections we like to see in a laptop, including some you’ll miss by choosing a much more expensive model.

The attractive feature of this laptop, after its design, is its screen. It uses an IPS-type LCD panel, so has great viewing angles and surprisingly good overall image quality to boot. Its colour temperature is a bit too high, at 7075K, giving the image a slightly cold/blue tinge but it’s very subtle. Meanwhile a contrast ratio of 1261:1 is excellent, showing that this display can muster up deep inky blacks while also showing bright colours, resulting in a deep, rich looking image. There are two USB 3.0s — great for the price — and one USB 2.0. A USB-C port complements these, although it’s predictably only specked to the 3.1 standard, not the much faster Thunderbolt 3.0. We’d be frankly confused if it did: you don’t tend to get Thunderbolt in cheap laptops. A full-size HDMI and full-size SD card slot finish off what is a connections array fit for a much more powerful laptop than the Swift 1.

A 720p resolution webcam sits in the bezel above the screen and it delivers perfectly acceptable image quality for basic video-calling. With a framerate of 30fps and relatively low resolution you get a somewhat choppy, grainy image but it’s enough to get by. Similarly, you get a couple of speakers that fire down from the underside of the laptop and they do a reasonable job. There’s enough volume and clarity that you can enjoy the latest film trailers or Skype without needing a headset but inevitably the lack of bass means that you’ll want separate speakers or headphones for watching a movie or listening to music. Acer claims this laptop will last ten hours on one battery charge but this didn’t tally with my testing. In our standardised PowerMark test it lasted six hours and 28 minutes – well short of its target.

MacBook

The MacBook it’s easy to find, share, and do just about everything. You can control your Mac with simple, intuitive gestures. The Dock lets you launch your favorite apps with a click. Launchpad gives you quick access to your full library of apps. The Finder lets you browse and organize your files on your Mac and in iCloud with ease. Spotlight search makes locating documents, launching apps, and looking up information effortless.1 You can even have your apps and the operating system software update automatically. In fact, a Mac does so many things automatically, sometimes you don’t have to do anything at all.

LED-backlit display. Millions of pixels. Millimeters thin.Corner to corner and pixel by pixel, the MacBook Air display is both an engineering feat and a design breakthrough. The display measures a mere 4.86 millimeters (0.19 inch) thin, yet its resolution makes you feel like you’re looking at a larger screen. The 11-inch MacBook Air features a resolution of 1366 by 768 pixels, while the 13-inch model wows with a resolution of 1440 by 900 pixels. And LED backlighting makes colors bright and vibrant from edge to edge. you can work unplugged. When it’s time to kick back and relax, you can get up to 10 hours of iTunes movie playback on the 11-inch model and up to 12 hours on the 13-inch model. And with up to 30 days of standby time, you can go away for weeks and pick up right where you left off. MacBook Air takes Wi-Fi speeds over the top. Connect to an 802.11ac base station including AirPort Extreme or AirPort Time Capsule and experience wireless performance up to 3x faster than the previous Wi-Fi generation.

The MacBook has an impressive capacity to store the files and run the applications you need every day. With up to 16GB of 1866MHz LPDDR3 onboard memory and up to 512GB of SSD storage, you get an amazingly thin and light notebook with snappy performance. The Multi-Touch gestures in OS X make everything you do on MacBook Air more intuitive, direct, and fun. And the spacious Multi-Touch trackpad is perfectly designed for them, whether it’s a three-finger swipe to activate Mission Control or a four-finger pinch to see all your apps in Launchpad. MacBook takes full advantage of the latest 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2 wireless technologies — and with innovative Apple software and services that let you get the most out of them, you can wirelessly connect to the web, transfer files, organise your photos, listen to music and more.

HP Omen 17

HP Omen 17 AN010TX is a stylish and powerful Gaming Laptop and is powered by 7th Generation Intel® Core™ i7 processor  clocked at a speed of 2.8 GHz and sports a 17.3 inch FHD that comes with a resolution of 1920 X 1080 pixels,so the picture quality is crisp and detailed. The screen size is big enough for an enriching gaming, surfing and video watching experience. On the memory front, the laptop is equipped with a hard drive of 1 TB and a 16 DDR4 RAM,thereby making it possible to store ample amount of data. All the above features ensure that you breeze through all your tasks throughout the day.It is backed up by a Li-ion battery that keeps the device running for upto Up to 12 hours and 45 minutes hours or a considerable amount of time.It is loaded with Dual and Bang & Olufsen; HP Audio Boost for a great audio experience.

The laptop looks good, but it’s a bit of a lump.  The HP’s heavyweight design will make itself noticed in your bag, taking up more room than most other laptops. The keyboard, on the other hand, is very rigid and seems to be reinforced by metal underneath. Accordingly, it doesn’t flex even under intense pressure. The notebook’s bottom cover follows the lid’s X-design and is partly covered by a very rough non-slip coating. In addition, the rear houses additional openings for extra circulation of air. The laptop itself rests on thin rubber strips. The red-tinted keyboard is a disappointment. There is a separate number pad, but the rest of its layout is a let-down: the Return key isn’t double-height, and the ‘up’ and ‘down’ cursor keys are crammed into the space of a single button. There aren’t any macro keys, and there isn’t any software to customise the keyboard. The 1080p screen combines Nvidia G-Sync with a helpful matte finish, and its IPS technology delivers solid performance in every department.  This  laptop is  Movie and Voice modes, too, although both are a little tinny. The Music mode is the best option here, then, and it’s far better than the audio on most other laptops.
The ports available are aplenty outshining the device’s own predecessor by a longshot. USB 2.0 is gone for good, and the new Omen 17 features three USB 3.1 Gen. 1 Type-A ports, a USB 3.1 Gen. 2 Type-C port with Thunderbolt 3, DisplayPort 1.2, and HP Sleep and Charge, dedicated microphone and headphone jacks, HDMI, and a Mini DisplayPort. The port arrangement was also modified. On the previous model, we criticized the fact that too many of the available ports where on the right side thereby penalizing righties. On the new model, the ports are arranged more evenly on both sides with a heavy focus on the left-hand side. USB ports are available on both sides but the two USB ports on the left side are very close to each other. Generally speaking spacing and arrangement have been improved, and smaller ports are more frequently found next to larger ports.

Acer Predator Helios 300

The Acer Predator Helios 300 is a good laptop. The first thing to notice about the machine is the design and if you consider gaming laptops in the same price category, this is a good looking laptop.  The Predator's aluminum-and-plastic design doesn't stray far from the look of Acer's other budget gaming notebooks; its black, metal lid has two red stripes flanking the Predator logo. There's a small plastic bumper on the top of the lid that feels far cheaper than the aluminum that surrounds it. When you lift the lid, you'll find the 15.6-inch, 1080p display, surrounded by a bezel that has the Predator logo on the bottom and the Acer logo on the top-left corner. That second logo is distracting, and I wish Acer had the confidence to let the Predator brand stand on its own, the way Dell does with Alienware and Asus does with its Republic of Gamers line. There's also a full keyboard with a number pad utilizing red backlighting and red WASD keys, as well as a black, metal deck. At 5.5 pounds and 15.4 x 10.5 x 1.5 inches, the Predator Helios 300 is a little larger than other mainstream gaming notebooks but also just a tad lighter. As any good gaming notebook should, the Predator has plenty of ports. On the left side are an Ethernet jack, a USB Type-C port, HDMI output, a USB 3.0 port and an SD card slot. A headphone jack and a pair of USB 2.0 ports are located on the right side of the laptop.

The 15.6-inch, 1080p display on the Predator is sharp but otherwise lackluster. When I watched the trailer for Marvel's Inhumans, Medusa's red hair didn't pop against her lavender dress, and bright lights overpowered both Black Bolt and Medusa in a scene together. It wasn't as bright as I would have liked, but it was perfectly usable. The Predator's keyboard is comfortable, but I wish it felt more responsive. The keys have  1.6 millimeters of vertical travel, so I never felt as if I were bottoming out. But the keys require 79 grams of pressure to actuate, which kept them from feeling light and clicky. he Predator is armed with a 2.8-GHz Intel Core i7-7700HQ CPU, 16GB of RAM and a 256GB solid-state drive, which is more than enough for some serious multitasking. I had 30 tabs open in Chrome while I watched a 1080p stream on Twitch, and didn't see any lag. This is a gaming laptop that lasted far longer than we expected. It ran for 6 hours and 48 minutes on the Laptop Mag Battery Test, which browses the web continuously over Wi-Fi. That's lower than the mainstream average (7:00), but gaming notebooks tend to not even come close to that.
